Ikväll, den 10 januari, är det dags för årets upplaga av Golden Globe. Golden Globe Awards är ett pris som delas ut varje år till amerikanska biofilmer och tv-program. Den grundades 1944 av Hollywood Foreign Press Association (en organistation bestående av filmjournalister från icke-amerikansk massmedia med Hollywood och amerikansk film som fokusområde, som tillsammans utser vinnarna). Priset är det näst mest prestigefyllda, efter Oscar (film) och Emmy (TV), man kan vinna inom branschen.

Prisutdelningen brukar kunna fungera som ett förutspående inför Oscarsgalan längre fram i år. Det är nämligen inte alls ovanligt att de flesta kategorierna får samma vinnare vilket har synts tydligt de senaste åren, 2013 (10 av 11), 2014 (8 av 11), 2015 (6 av 11).

I år leds galan av Ricky Gervais som gör detta för fjärde gången.
